Barnaby Festival 2011

It’s very nearly time for Macclesfield to come alive once more.

Last year’s sensational Barnaby Festival is set to get bigger and better this year.

Chestergate will feature very nicely in the parade and lots of the events afterwards. If you want a grandstand view, then cross over Churchill Way and stand somewhere around the ‘Swan with 2 Necks’ area; you’ll be assured of a great view, ideal if you want to take photographs or video.

This year Macclesfield celebrates 750 years as a Charter town, and the Barnaby Parade becomes the Treacle Town Timeline, 1261-2011, a noisy vibrant colourful mass of Maxonians!

Hi All,

That great little sandwich shop ‘LUNCH’ has closed. They have moved on to bigger, better things and are still in business at the bottom of Mill St.

From everyone on Chestergate we wish them all the very best in their new venture.
